It's riding season...

...for EVERYONE now.

Tell your friends to be careful.

Getting closer

But just a little.

Still gotta add switches an finish wiring. Finish mounting the brake. Reinstall the cylinder head and carb. Create a new mount for the coil. And a tire. That's all.
Except for mounting the tank.
And inspection.
Oh, register it.

And that's all. Unless I forgot something.

Thanks, Jason

Almost Rat Cat...

Not sure why you would name a street like this, but it is AWESOME.
Surely, there must be more than 'One Way'

Mobile blog test

This is an actual test. If this were a test test you would not see it.
Now, here's a pinecone that weighs four pounds.

Thanks for reading.

Found at work...

The dancers take notes for themselves. They obviously don't expect US to read them.

Maybe they did want us to find it. Pretty funny.

COFFEE!!

Phoenix

The old front end just stopped working for me.

Mike, at Old-STF in Yuba City hooked me up with this...

He also hooked me up with a clean front head to replace the broken exhaust port. Thanks, Mike!

Out with the old, in with the new

Bought a new Sparx power unit to replace the MityMax, and a Pazon ignition from Troop at British Cycles Ltd. in Grass Valley, CA. It's installed on the Triumph and I need a day without rain to give it a road test.
Fingers crossed.

Subtle differences

A little closer to the seat

A little closer to the forks

Which looks Better?

Up next

The front cylinder needs to be welded back together. This is probably the biggest deal in the rebuild, because without an engine it's just a coaster.

Teardown begins

I met with the insurance person yesterday. It will be another week til I know the outcome. Now it's time to get ready for the obvious; the rebuild.
Got the front end off. Took the battery out and put on the tender. Then I started surfing the net for pics of Ironheads.

Got the bike home

Drove from East Bay to Grass Valley to pick up the Sportster. It was snowing pretty hard. I'm glad. I wasn't jealous about people riding.

Wrecked

Took the turn and hit gravel. Slid it out. Shoulda had gloves on. Didn't get hurt too bad. Ego bruised more than body.
